Once an application is reviewed, we will contact you and review your application. The next step is an in- person or virtual home check. This may consist of a video chat and/or photos of your home. We check your home to ensure it is safe and healthy for a dog or cat. A home check does not secure a pet, nor is it a guarantee that a dog or cat will be placed into that home.

We check veterinary status and require that all potential adopters have an established veterinarian, and their current pets are up to date. If this is your first dog or cat, you will need to establish veterinary care.
